The Church Needs To Change...
Times have changed and so has the church and according to studied polls the most common cause of atheism today is Christianity; and it’s found right in our local church. When we picture or a least imagine what Church is; it is supposed to be one of the most important places for those who need sanctuary, a place where most want to find a safe dwelling place, a connection between man and God. A place where the broken-hearts are mended, the lost found and the desperate find comfort. If this is the case then why are so many still out in the world with a bad taste in their spirits concerning church? Why are many people who have been in churches being hurt by the same place where they are supposed to find comfort?
I have encountered that the non-traditionalist pastors and congregations that we are singing hymns with and praying along side of are overlooking the outcries of millions, which is creating more and more people to walk away from Christianity. Pastors preach to "Love Thy Neighbor," is just another way of saying, "Love Thy Neighbor as long as they have no Baggage." I have encountered in "some" of the churches today that the leaders of the churches are preaching the "Love of Christ" but yet pronouncing judgment and condemnation on those they have once taken interest into. Its a hunter’s game for most churches in our community’s and nation-wide where the prey are lured into the trap by promises of hope, deception and greed.
Through many of my years as a Christian, I have been around different types of "denominations" and around more than a handful of pastors and certain elect of the so-called "chosen few." I have heard the proud filled expressions of many boasting about how their lives are completely in harmony with God and the blessings that they are receiving because the church is doing so much in the mission fields by sending out people to different countries experiencing a new life of those less fortunate then what they are accustomed too. Additions and expansions are being constructed to suite the so called needs of the congregations in order to keep up with the "Jones’s." Burden after burden of financial building funds are constantly being pushed into the hearts and wallets of people while more individuals are striving to keep from claiming bankruptcy yet hearing that God will provide your financial needs if you keep your obligation to build the needed expansions. The needs of many are being completely overlooked by the churches, in the church and from the leaders of the church.
